Aotearoa Art Fair
New Zealand’s premier contemporary arts event, Aotearoa Art Fair returns in April 2024 in its new home, the state-of-the-art Viaduct Events Centre. This exciting development coincides with the fair’s acquisition by Art Fairs Australia, responsible for Sydney Contemporary, which has expanded to include an Aotearoa arm, Art Fairs New Zealand. The company is owned by Tim Etchells of the Art Assembly Group, which is behind the major international art fairs ART SG in Singapore, Taipei Dangdai in Taiwan and Tokyo Gendai in Japan. Like Sydney Contemporary and the Art Assembly fairs, Aotearoa Art Fair will showcase outstanding local contemporary art and promote the regional arts ecology in Asia Pacific, specifically the wider Pacific Rim region, a commitment that is continuing to gain momentum since its reflective 2022 name change from Auckland Art Fair. The fair once again guarantees a fantastic lineup of galleries, artists and programs from April 18 – 21, 2024.
