Now or Never

In August 2023, the City of Melbourne welcomes the inaugural Now or Never festival. Spanning 17 days across August and September, the festival showcases a vibrant program of art, ideas, music and technology of over three hundred talented Australian and international sonic and visual artists, creators and composers. The festival takes over various city streets and venues across the city, from energetic late-night club spots to the Royal Exhibition Building, a historic landmark that will witness its first large-scale live music performance in over two decades. The festival’s program includes a larger-than-life Art Trail curated by Experimenta; giant pop-up dome coined the Neversphere, in which audiences will be immersed in a bustling program of film; 360° Dining with Supernormal; and NONSTOP WKND – two days and twelve unique shows of curated leftfield music, cutting-edge audio-visuals and boundary-pushing performances. The festival will also include immersive art installations across various venues and locations in Melbourne and Semi Permanent design festival, headlined by Roman Coppola and featuring keynote speakers and panel sessions with creative visionaries. Now or Never takes over Melbourne from Thursday August 17 to Saturday September 2, 2023.
