After a hiatus, ACCA’s influential NEW exhibition series returns with NEW26, reaffirming its longstanding commitment to supporting the next generation of Victorian contemporary artists. Bringing together up to 7 emerging practitioners selected through a rigorous curatorial process, the exhibition offers a platform for ambitious new commissions and experimental practices across a range of media. Since its inception, NEW has launched the careers of many of Australia’s leading contemporary artists, providing a rare opportunity to develop and present new work within a major public institution. As both a snapshot of emerging practice and an investment in future artistic voices, NEW26 promises fresh perspectives on the evolving landscape of contemporary art. Runs from September 18 to November 22.
