National Indigenous Art Fair

The National Indigenous Art Fair returns for its seventh edition from July 3 to 5, 2026, presenting its largest and most ambitious program to date as the inaugural cultural event at The Cutaway Barangaroo following the venue’s major transformation. Coinciding with NAIDOC Week, the Fair brings together more than 30 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art centres from across remote Australia. Curated by a team of First Nations creatives including Matt Poll, Miah Madden, Rebecca Ray, Kaleena Briggs, and Billie-Jean Hamlet, the expanded program foregrounds contemporary Indigenous cultural practice across disciplines. Highlights include a new opening night featuring performances by Mi-Kaisha, Djinama Yilaga, and the dance work Mawambul, as well as a fashion parade celebrating Blak design and storytelling. With 100% of artwork sales returned directly to community-owned art centres, the Fair continues its commitment to cultural exchange, economic empowerment, and the visibility of First Nations excellence.
