Melbourne Art Fair 2026 & Futureobjekt
Melbourne Art Fair returns for its 19th iteration from February 19 to 22, 2026, transforming the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre into a hub of contemporary art, design and ideas. More than 50 leading galleries and Indigenous-owned art centres will present monumental, ephemeral, and experimental works across painting, sculpture, installation and video, while curated conversations invite reflection on the ideas shaping contemporary practice. The 2026 Fair debuts FUTUREOBJEKT, a 600-square-metre design salon featuring over 30 Australian and international designers and makers, and VIDEO, a moving-image program curated by Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel presenting innovative works in dialogue with global trends. BEYOND will showcase ambitious large-scale installations by Judith Wright, Brenda L Croft, and Fiona Hall, while PROJECT ROOMS offers an experimental, non-commercial platform for emergent artists. Supported by the William Mora Indigenous Art Centre Program, the Fair highlights the centrality of First Nations voices in contemporary discourse. For collectors, creators and curious audiences alike, Melbourne Art Fair 2026 promises a dynamic encounter with art, design and the conversations they inspire.
