The Veil
Curated by Hannah Presley with Isabella Hone- Saunders, the veil brings together six artists whose work moves beyond this world. Hayley Millar Baker, Hannah Gartside, Aneta Grzeszykowska, Glenda Nicholls, Lisa Waup and Lena Yarinkura use materials such as textiles, sculpture, photography and moving image to explore memory, spirituality and cultural knowledge. The exhibition traces how hidden forces, whether ancestral, emotional or metaphysical, inform our sense of self and shape the world around us. For each artist, making embodies a process of uncovering, allowing the past to speak, the body to remember, and the spirit to rise. Themes of ritual, transformation and survival thread through the exhibition, with works that invite intimate and contemplative engagement. The result is a powerful meditation on the seen and unseen. the veil asks us to pause, look deeper, and listen more closely to the whispers carried across generations from the unseen realm and runs June 27 to November 1, 2025.
