Destination Sydney: The Natural World
From the rich visual culture of the Gadigal people to a vibrant contemporary art community, Sydney has inspired much creativity throughout the years. Destination Sydney: The natural world is the third iteration in a series of collaborative exhibitions held at Mosman Art Gallery, in partnership with Manly Art Gallery & Museum and S.H. Ervin Gallery, which celebrate the beauty of Sydney’s natural environment. The exhibition recognises Sydney as a place of art making and accentuates the role of the natural world in shaping art production. The natural world showcases the works of artists Janet Laurence, Caroline Rothwell and Robyn Stacey who, despite working with different materials, are united through their use of archives, biological specimens and museum collections. The exhibition will run at Mosman Art Gallery until March 20, 2022.
