A Marvellous Entanglement
As part of the 2022 Adelaide Festival, Samstag Museum of Art will be presenting the work of acclaimed British artist Isaac Julien, internationally renowned for his multi-disciplinary film installations and photographs. Gallery 1 will feature Julien’s seminal and compelling nine-screen installation Ten Thousand Waves (2010), which was inspired by the 2004 Morecambe Bay cockling tragedy and explores the movement of people across countries and cultures. Showing in Gallery 2, A Marvellous Entanglement traverses a collection of visionary Brazilian modernist architect Lina Bo Bardi’s most important designs and buildings. The two film installations will be exhibited alongside the work of ceramicist Hellen Fuller, designer Khai Liew and choreographer and dancer Daniel Jaber. A Marvellous Entanglement will show at Samstag Museum of Art from March 4 to May 27, 2022.
