France: Explore Mirazoz by Architects of Air
British firm Architects of Air invites visitors to experience the surreal setting of their traveling structure Mirazoz as part of their ongoing project, Luminaria. Described as “somewhere between a womb and a cathedral,” the inflatable design’s interior roams through labyrinthine tunnels and cavernous domes, all illuminated with vivid hues of color that are projected onto the PVC walls and change according to the natural light. Consciously recalling a drug-induced “trip,” Mirazoz encourages visitors to walk barefoot around the structure, exploring its colorful mazes or just relaxing. Due to the weather, which affects the radiance and blend of colors, as well as added sensory details such as musical performances or storytellers, no visit to Mirazoz is ever the same. The walk-in pneumatic sculpture has traveled the world and is currently part of Lillie 3000’s Fantastic 2012, a festival held annually in France until the 13th of January.
