Roman Polanski for Prada

During the Cannes festival, iconic director Roman Polanski premiered his short film A Therapy, presented by Prada. A playful advertisement for the luxury brand, the piece, starring Helena Bonham Carter and Sir Ben Kingsley, depicts a three-minute session between a socialite with self-described “daddy issues” and her sartorially distracted therapist. The film is a delightfully eccentric take on the ironies of fashion, as an impeccably dressed Bonham Carter rambles on about the woes of the privileged, while Kingsley’s attention is fixated on her fox-trimmed purple coat.

“A chance to dwell on what the fashion world represents nowadays and the fact that it is accompanied by so many stereotypes is fascinating and at the same time a bit upsetting, but you definitely cannot ignore it,” Polanski wrote on “It’s very refreshing to know that there are still places open to irony and wit, and, for sure, Prada is one of them.”
