Collector’s Alert: Tim Walker’s “Story Teller” in London and in Print

The hallucinatory, wildly creative images of British photographer Tim Walker are being doubly celebrated this fall with an exhibition at London’s Somerset House and an accompanying book published by Thames & Hudson. Both called Story Teller, they showcase the artist’s narrative flair, evoking a fairytale world of baguette biplanes, demonic dolls and cult celebrities on the order of Alexander McQueen and Tilda Swinton. Inspired by texts from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland to Jean Cocteau’s La Belle et la Bête, Walker has fashioned a fantastical realm that enchants gallery goers as much as the readers of VogueVanity Fair and W. Experience the magic through January 27th at Somerset House in London, or try to find the already rare book through collectors’ websites. (It’s currently more than $100 on Amazon.)
