The Campana Brothers Plates for Bernardaud
April 2012
Brazilian design superstars Fernando and Humberto Campana—renowned for their innovative furniture crafted of aluminum wire, rope, plush animals and other unusual materials—have turned their attention to the dining table. In a collaboration with the French porcelain powerhouse Bernardaud, they have created Euro Tropiques, a limited-edition collection featuring hand-painted dishes and platters bursting with kaleidoscopic abstract images of creatures such as crocodiles, dolphins and serpents (a nod to their animal-laden Banquete chair). Polite society always needs a touch of the sauvage.
A set of six dinner plates, $499. A set of six salad plates, $459. Euro Tropiques oval platter, $499. All available at Vivre.com.
