New on the nail-art scene is an emphasis on texture. Ombre effects or fluorescent hues are sure to get your manicure noticed, but to really stand out, nail connoisseurs are seeking a more three-dimensional look.
Enter the Caviar Manicure. Developed by celebrity manicurist and Ciaté creative director Charlotte Knight, the elaborate nails were first seen on the runway at the Cushnie et Ochs’ Fall 2011 show. Manicurists used beads from the designers’ collection directly on the nail, creating a pearlescent, 3-D effect.
Taking nail-art innovation even further, Ciaté is bringing avant-garde styling to your fingers. This month, the brand launched limited-edition Caviar Manicure kits to create decadent nails at home. Each set contains a Ciaté base polish and “caviar” micro pearls in one of three shades: Rainbow, Mother-of-Pearl and Black.
